8 Strongest 'Invincible' Fighters Who Pack A Powerful Punch
Nolan is evil and deserves no forgiveness. Sorry!
Season 4 of Invincible on Amazon Prime may be the most fight-heavy installment of the series thus far. The comic book-turned TV show offers tons of interpersonal drama between each bloody battle, making this batch of brawls the most violent (and enticing) yet.
We’re highlighting the 8 best heroes in the Invincible lore. Hopefully one (or all) of them can take down the largest looming threat Mark has ever seen: pure Viltumite, Thragg.
1. Mr. Liu
With such a cool power set in a tiny man, Mr. Liu may look like an unassuming non-threat. When he uses his ability, this crime boss unleashes a gigantic, skyscraper-sized dragon that fights under his control. Though his human body is left vulnerable, this big weird dragon power makes Mr. Liu one of the biggest threats in the show. It took Mark and Oliver to defeat him once, but since he got away and is now working with other villains, it’s likely we’ll see Liu once more.
2. Atom Eve
In this season, her powers aren’t working quite like they usually do. Atom Eve can no longer turn her pink crystal energy into fantastical creations — now it becomes rainbow goop. Usually, her ability to construct items around her by rearranging atoms offers a surefire victory in battle. She can use her pink powers to build durable armor, deadly weapons, and really anything she thinks of. It’s more than a scientific spin on Green Lantern. Atom Eve is not the one to mess with, especially after what we saw her do in the special standalone episode.
3. Monster Girl
With super strength like the Hulk and a complex relationship with her abilities, Monster Girl is a force to be reckoned with. Though Amanda is trapped on another planet at the moment, Monster Girl has proven to be one of the most reliable heroes in the Guardians of the Globe. With her de-aging side effect now cured, there’s nothing stopping Monster Girl from ripping the remaining Viltrumites in half.
4. Invincible
Mark has gone through a lot since getting his powers. He’s proven to be a formidable force, filling in as the world’s savior after his dad went super evil. Justice for Chicago! Though Thragg kinda kicked his ass, Mark always faces a fight head-on and has the powerful punch to back it up. He survived his intestines being ripped out by Conquest. I’m sure he can dig deep to find a way to defeat Thragg. He also proved able to fly through a planet’s core, something that barely anyone in this series can do.
5. Nolan
I hate this man!! Justice for all those people he massacred in Chicago and elsewhere. Sure, he’s very good at saving the day, but that’s a moot point because he’s an expert at ending lives. I don’t trust Nolan, his return makes me ill, and I think Mark should kick his ass. He called Debbie a pet. I won’t forget that. Thragg hit Nolan so hard that he flew into outer space. Maybe Nolan isn’t the unbeatable asshole he thinks he is.
6. Space Racer
For some reason, I love this weirdo. Having a laser that fires and never stops firing makes for a logistical nightmare. What if someone is enjoying their picnic a few light-years away and a stray laser zips right through? Space Racer was instrumental in the rebellion, using his one-of-a-kind weapon to tear a hole through Viltrum. Though he needs backup in hand-to-hand combat, he stays strapped and ready with that gun on his back.
7. Battle Beast
He craves violence and thirsts for blood! Battle Beast is always ready to throw hands and make someone suffer. He’s the perfect soldier in this war against the strongest civilization in the galaxy. Confidence must count for something because Battle Beast is largely undefeated and is no stranger to the world of ass-kicking.
8. Tech Jacket
Part Blue Beetle and part Iron Man, Tech Jacket soars into the scene to save the day. Her smart thinking with the nanotech suit doesn’t just save her life, it even repairs Space Racer’s broken helmet. She’s a fighter, a healer, and a fun character to root for. It also says something that she was the only Earthling recruited for the mission to take out the Viltrumites; even the people around her know how powerful she is.
Bonus Baddies:
Thragg
Oh gosh, Thragg is strong and scary. Leader of the remaining Viltrumites — a powerful, power-hungry civilization that believes itself to be the strongest — Thragg fits right at home. Thragg’s wind-up punch on Nolan actually sucked in air around him, something I’ve never seen in all my anime days, delivering a blow that launched the forsaken father into the atmosphere. Thragg is proving to possibly be the strongest character in the series, and time will tell if he gets taken down.
Conquest
A man with devilishly evil dialogue, Conquest makes sure to rip you apart verbally before physically breaking you down. His final fight with Mark proved fatal for this outspoken madman, but he put up quite the fight. Not many can go toe-to-toe with Invincible, and Conquest did exactly that. Ripping out Mark’s guts was just scarily fascinating to see. Conquest also came back from death before, thanks to Cecil, so who can say we’ve seen the last of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character?
